Time Being
Jourdan Laik and and Philip Wilkerson work together under the moniker Time Being, sharing a deep fascination about time and how we humans perceive it. "Our goal is to create tranquil and reflective ambient music suitable for relaxing, dreaming, thinking deeply and being in the present moment of time," they explain. "The suspension of time in living in the moment, and the perception of eternity in every minute." This concept of the time-suspending power of music is a discipline that taps into that same eternal flow as artists like Steve Roach, Shulze and Brian Eno. Combining electronic instruments with deep, rich effects processing, Time Being creates subtle but purposeful compositions of soundscapes - or timescapes - that guide the listener’s attention to full awareness of the eternal present moment, while simultaneously suspending the subjective passage of time.
